From Distress to Thanksgiving

Running in sin gets you nowhere except thinking you can thwart God’s will, that your sin only affects you, and that you can actually sleep soundly without being disturbed. In chapter one we see Jonah rebelling from God by going the opposite direction God called him to. God, in his infinite grace, pursues Jonah to save him from himself.
