Bellevue Baptisms on Easter Sunday!
It’s that time again when we have the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and the new life that God is giving to the people in our community.
Jesus and the Apostles preached that we should repent of our sin, believe on Jesus for salvation and be baptized to demonstrate it. Baptism simply stated, is an outward symbolic act that demonstrates the inward reality of what God has done in bringing us to faith in Jesus. Just as Jesus died, was buried and rose again, so we too, die to our flesh through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross and are given new life in him.
That is what baptism is all about and that is what we will be celebrating at the Bellevue campus on Easter morning. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. It’s tragic that so many Christians today do not follow through with what Jesus commands in baptism. It would have been unheard of in Jesus’ day and in the years following for people to profess to be followers of Jesus without following him in baptism.
If you have put your faith in Jesus for your salvation and have not been baptized, please fill out the short form from the link below. If you do not know if you’re a Christian please also fill out the short form from the link below so we can help walk you through what it means to be a Christian and to get baptized.
I’m looking forward to a great and powerful day on Easter. Please be in prayerful anticipation with me for what God will do.
