Last week, Mars Hill Church announced the transition of Bellevue Campus pastor Jesse Winkler. Jesse has done a tremendous job leading the campus over the past year and a half. The campus has already outgrown one location, blossomed to 1,300 attendees, baptized over 60, fostered community relationships and accelerated the Gospel presence on the Eastside. While it’s sad to see Jesse and his family go, we are encouraged that God has placed church planting on his heart. The Winklers will continue the momentum with an Acts 29 missional church plant in Southern California. Thank you Jesse and family for all the hard work and sacrifice.

Stepping into the campus pastor role is Chris Swan. God has providentially brought Chris, his wife Susan and their two kids (and one on the way) to Mars Hill from Seaside Church – an Acts 29 network church – in Bremerton, WA.  God richly blessed the Swan’s efforts at Seaside, building the congregation from just four to over 250. Chris has extensive ministry experience, a long standing relationship with current Mars Hill elders and with his entrepreneurial expertise, will be a driving force to realize the vision of MHC expansion and Gospel transformation on the Eastside. We are excited to have him on board!

Praise Jesus for giving clarity and wisdom to these families as they both take great faith steps. We are richly blessed by God’s provision as we continue to honor Him and make His name great in the Northwest and beyond! Make sure to check out Pastor Mark’s video for more on this transition.
